Manulife Singapore launches advisory arm

Manulife Singapore has launched the Manulife Advisory Group, a remodel of its proprietary agency channel, which it claims will offer a wider range of offerings to customers.

According to a statement from Manulife Singapore, the new advisory arm operates under an open architecture system and will enable higher insurance penetration and financial inclusion in Singapore. Aside from Manulife’s products, customers can also access insurance and investment products from a range of insurers and investment platforms.

In order to prepare its advisors for the “new normal” brought about by COVID-19, Manulife Singapore also announced that it will dedicate resources for regular and rigorous training for its personnel. The company’s representatives have undergone accreditation from the Institute of Banking and Finance Singapore’s Standards Training Scheme (IBF-STS) since the start of 2020.

“Our goal at Manulife Singapore is to consistently improve our offerings to continue exceeding the high expectations our customers have set for us,” said Jenny Teo, chief financial advisory officer of Manulife Singapore. “This is both in terms of the solutions that we offer and the way in which we deliver them. We see this transformative undertaking as a timely way to ensure we continue to serve customers in the best way that we can, not just through an extensive range of bespoke solutions, but also with highly-trained advisors whose priority will be to safeguard their ever-evolving needs and wants through the seasons.”
