Stock futures rise slightly in overnight trading as market looks to extend record-setting rally

Stock futures climbed slightly higher in overnight trading on Sunday as Wall Street tries to build on a record-setting week.

Futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose about 80 points, indicating a 60-point gain at Monday’s open. The S&P 500 futures and the Nasdaq 100 futures gained 0.1% each.

Marco becomes hurricane, heads toward U.S. Gulf Coast

Marco strengthened into a hurricane over the Gulf of Mexico on Sunday on its way toward the Louisiana coast, according to data from an Air Force Reserve hurricane hunter aircraft.

Tropical Storm Laura, which the hit the Dominican Republic and Haiti, is also expected to develop into a hurricane and is headed toward the U.S. coast.
