Charles Taylor sets up intelligence-led anti-fraud division

Charles Taylor has launched its Specialist Investigation Services (SIS) division, which will provide an intelligence-led approach to countering fraud.

SIS is a multi-sector investigation division, which draws on Charles Taylor’s experience handling complex cases globally alongside technology to develop counter-fraud identification and investigation tools.

Bobby Gracey, recently appointed global head of fraud at Charles Taylor, will lead the new division.

“As the impact of COVID-19 is felt across the world, the conditions are there for an increase in both organised and opportunistic fraud,” he said. “Charles Taylor has unrivalled expertise in claims across multiple markets and a leading technology arm underpinning this, which is a great combination for a new specialist counter-fraud service. We are bringing the best of IT & IQ together to enable our clients to outperform, defeat the fraudsters and reduce the fraud expenses that impact the balance sheet of every insurer. We know that no two counter-fraud philosophies are the same, which is why we work collaboratively with clients to build tailored claims fraud responses.”

SIS offers investigations on a retained/delegated authority basis, as well as ‘white label’ solutions. Its various services include global field investigations, surveillance, forensic accountancy, medical record retrieval, financial background reports, data analysis, and others. It also provides training and consultancy to help clients identify fraud, manage risk and improve processes.
