Figueiredo unhappy about interim title match, wants pay raise to stay at flyweight
2 min readReigning UFC flyweight winner Deiveson Figueiredo was not delighted to find out about an interim title struggle established for UFC 277 on July 30.
“That was bullshit,” Figueiredo explained, according to MMA Fighting’s Guilherme Cruz. “I’ve saved a principal function in the UFC, executing the fastest turnaround in the history of the UFC as a winner, and now I am obtaining ripped off. The belt is mine. You will find no other belt, besides for this plastic belt, this joke they’re doing between Brandon Moreno and Kai Kara-France.”
The 125-pound division titleholder is recovering from accidents to equally of his palms. He defeated Moreno in his most new physical appearance in the Octagon, going for walks absent with the belt next his unanimous choice victory at UFC 270.
The Brazilian fighter thinks there was a miscommunication involving his camp and the promotion about his recovery timeline.

“I will remain in the flyweight (division) if they boost my purse,” he reported.
Figueiredo famous that he formerly prepared to transfer up in excess weight class pursuing three extra fights at flyweight. But with the announcement of an interim title struggle, he is now weighing all his options.
