Figueiredo unhappy about interim title match, wants pay raise to stay at flyweight2 min read
Reigning UFC flyweight winner Deiveson Figueiredo was not delighted to find out about an interim title struggle established for UFC 277 on July 30.
“That was bullshit,” Figueiredo explained, according to MMA Fighting’s Guilherme Cruz. “I’ve saved a principal function in the UFC, executing the fastest turnaround in the history of the UFC as a winner, and now I am obtaining ripped off. The belt is mine. You will find no other belt, besides for this plastic belt, this joke they’re doing between Brandon Moreno and Kai Kara-France.”
